Depot Manager

Our client is seeking a dedicated and driven Depot Manager to join their dynamic team. With over 40 years of experience in the truck and trailer hiring and leasing industry, this thriving company is committed to providing exceptional service and creating value for their customers. As the Depot Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a busy depot, ensuring that operations run smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

So what does the role look like?

” Oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy depot, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across all functions.
” Drive sales initiatives to meet and exceed targets while fostering strong relationships with customers.
” Manage and motivate a team of staff, including recruitment, training, and adherence to health and safety standards.
” Ensure optimal vehicle management, including the oversight of fleet maintenance and workshop operations.
” Implement best practices that enhance service delivery and operational performance.

” Significant experience in commercial vehicle rentals, with a strong background in sales and operations.
” A self-starter with a motivated mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
” Exceptional customer service skills, recognising that customer satisfaction is key to differentiating the company.
” Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the business.
” Experience with staff management and training, as well as a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
” IT literate with proficiency in industry-relevant software and tools.

Here’s the package breakdown for you…

This position is full-time with hours from 8AM to 6PM, Monday to Friday, including a one-hour lunch break. Additionally, you will be required to work every third Saturday from 8AM to 12PM.
