Our client is seeking a Customs Clearance Clerk with specialist knowledge in foodstuffs to join their dynamic team in the freight forwarding and warehousing sector. As a Customs Clearance Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with customs regulations and facilitating seamless import and export processes for food products.

So what does the role look like?

” Manage customs clearance processes for foodstuffs, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
” Review and prepare all necessary documentation for imports and exports.
” Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and government authorities to resolve any queries related to customs clearance.
” Stay updated on industry regulations, changes in tariffs, and customs policies that affect food- related shipments.
” Collaborate with the warehouse team to manage the timely release of goods.
” Provide exceptional customer service throughout the clearance process to enhance client relationships.
” Utilise customs software and systems to track shipments and documentation efficiently.

” Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customs clearance specifically for foodstuffs.
