Our client is seeking a Freight Forwarder

So what does the role look like?
Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods by selecting appropriate transport methods, routes, and carriers.
Prepare and process all required documentation for freight shipments to ensure compliance with regulations.
Communicate with customers, suppliers, and carriers to provide updates and resolve any issues that arise during transit.
Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to optimise costs while maintaining service quality.
Monitor shipment progress, resolving any delays or complications that may occur.
Maintain accurate records in the company’s logistics management systems.
Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
So do you have what it takes?
Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar logistics role (minimum of 2 years preferred).
Thorough understanding of freight forwarding processes and regulations.
Strong negotiation skills and experience dealing with carriers and partners.
Proficient in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from £30,000 – £35,000, alongside a supportive work environment and opportunities for professional development. Additional benefits may include performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive holiday package.
