Experienced Freight Forwarder
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Forwarder to join their vibrant team within a leading freight forwarding company renowned for their commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless movement of goods worldwide, enabling clients to meet their supply chain needs efficiently and effectively. As a Freight Forwarder, you will handle logistics operations, manage documentation, and maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
So what does the role look like?
” Coordinate and manage shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery
” Prepare and oversee all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs paperwork
” Communicate effectively with clients, carriers, and stakeholders to resolve any shipping issues
” Negotiate rates with carriers and manage the transportation budget
” Monitor shipment progress and provide updates to clients and internal teams
” Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
” Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and improve service offerings
” Maintain accurate records of shipments and relevant documentation in proprietary systems

We are looking for candidates who possess:
” A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in freight forwarding or a related field
” Thorough understanding of logistics, customs regulations, and shipping processes
” Proficiency in using freight management software and MS Office suite
” Strong organisational and time-management skills
” Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a client-centric approach
” Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
