Yard Operative and Valeter - HGV Class 1

Maintain yard standards and handle local vehicle movements for an established commercial fleet specialist in Felixstowe.

The Opportunity

This hands-on role is ideal for a proactive HGV Class 1 licence holder looking for a stable, yard-based position with daytime hours. You will take pride in vehicle valeting, shunting, and overall site presentation, alongside occasional regional runs. It offers a steady Monday to Friday routine without the demands of long-distance tramping.

What you'll be doing

• Valet commercial truck trailers to a high presentation standard.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and well-organised yard environment.
• Shunt and manoeuvre commercial vehicles and trailers across the site.
• Carry out occasional regional deliveries and collections to regional hubs.
• Complete basic vehicle checks prior to vehicle dispatch.

What we're looking for

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence.
• Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience in vehicle valeting, yard maintenance, or commercial transport.
• Confident manoeuvring and shunting skills in busy yard environments.
• Reliable and available to work Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:30.

The Package

• £40,000 per annum.
• 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
