LME Recruitment Limited is a recruitment agency and employment business placing people into shipping, freight forwarding, transport, driving, warehousing and supply chain roles across Suffolk, Essex and the wider UK.

Candidates: your name, contact details, location, work history, CV, right-to-work and licence details where a role requires them, and any notes from our conversations with you.

Employers: your name, company, contact details and the details of the roles you ask us to fill, including any job description you upload.

Visitors: basic technical information such as the pages you view, so we can see what is useful and keep the site working.

To match you to roles, put you forward to employers with your knowledge, arrange interviews, and keep you updated on suitable vacancies and job alerts you have asked for.

To respond to hiring enquiries, shortlist candidates and manage the placements we make for you.

To meet our legal obligations, including right-to-work checks and record keeping.

We rely on legitimate interests to provide recruitment services, consent where you sign up to job alerts or marketing, and legal obligation where the law requires us to keep records or carry out checks.

You can withdraw consent for alerts or marketing at any time, and it will not affect any application already in progress.

Employers we are putting you forward to — never without telling you which role and which company first.

Service providers who help us run the business, such as our recruitment CRM, email delivery and secure file storage. They act on our instructions only.

We do not sell your data to anyone.

Candidate records are kept while we are actively working with you and for up to two years after our last meaningful contact, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

Records we must keep for legal or tax reasons are held for as long as the law requires.

CVs and uploaded job descriptions are stored in access-controlled storage and are not publicly browsable. Access is limited to the LME consultants who need it.

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected, ask us to delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy in a portable format.

Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We use only what is needed to make the site work, plus embedded content from social platforms on our social feed page, which may set their own cookies. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
