Operate heavy plant and keep cargo moving safely with a leading logistics operation in Ipswich.

Location: Ipswich
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

The Opportunity

Join an established logistics team in Ipswich where your plant expertise directly impacts daily cargo flow. This is a permanent daytime role suited to a dependable crane operator looking for competitive pay and reliable weekday hours. You will take ownership of site lifting operations while maintaining top-tier safety standards.

What you'll be doing

• Operate cranes safely to load, unload, and position cargo across the site.
• Carry out daily pre-use plant checks and report defects immediately.
• Secure and rig loads in full compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with ground crews and supervisors to maintain efficient operations.
• Complete relevant operational and load documentation accurately.
• Support wider yard and warehouse handling duties when required.

What we're looking for

• Proven crane driving experience in a port, industrial, or yard environment.
• Valid CPCS, NPORS, or recognised equivalent crane operator ticket.
• Clean UK driving licence.
• GCSEs or equivalent qualification level.
• Forklift or material handler experience is advantageous.
• Commitment to high safety standards and clear communication.

The Package

• £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
• Permanent full-time position
• Standard daytime hours from Monday to Friday
• Training and ongoing operational support
