Location: Felixstowe
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time (Shift work including evenings and weekends)
The Opportunity
You will manage day-to-day operational activities for arriving and departing vessels, keeping port turnarounds efficient and on schedule. This role puts you at the core of port activity, serving as the main operational link between ship crews, port authorities, and commercial clients.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, and port call schedules.
- Act as the primary point of contact for ship crews, port authorities, and commercial clients.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, customs entries, and standard port paperwork.
- Track cargo movements and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate operational records within internal management systems.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in vessel operations, ships agency, or shipping logistics.
- Solid understanding of port procedures and maritime documentation.
- Proficiency with shipping software and MS Office applications.
- Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of customs clearance and port regulations is advantageous.
