Salary: £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

The Opportunity

This role suits an experienced transport professional ready to run a fast-paced operational desk. Working with an established logistics business in Felixstowe, you will play a central role in coordinating drivers, tracking freight, and maintaining high service standards.

What you'll be doing

• Brief drivers on daily schedules, track live transit progress, and manage ETAs.
• Maintain and update transport and warehouse management systems alongside electronic POD records.
• Liaise with customers and regional depots to resolve transit queries promptly.
• Produce, verify, and issue daily transport documentation and run sheets.
• Conduct driver debriefs at shift completion and handle fleet administration.

What we're looking for

• Proven operational desk experience within road haulage or container transport.
• Proficiency in transport management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Strong background in driver briefing, debriefing, and fleet administration.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on resolving operational issues.
• Ability to handle tight deadlines in a fast-moving logistics environment.
