Traffic Operator

Coordinate day-to-day fleet operations and driver movements for an established logistics provider in Woolpit.

Location: Woolpit
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

The Opportunity

Join a dedicated transport team managing active freight movements across the UK and Ireland. This role suits an experienced transport professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make an immediate impact on daily network delivery. You will work within a collaborative depot environment with dependable weekday working hours.

What you'll be doing

• Brief drivers on daily schedules and monitor live progress to maintain delivery ETAs.
• Update and maintain transport management systems, warehouse systems, and POD documentation.
• Liaise directly with customers and depot partners to resolve transit issues quickly.
• Generate and check operational paperwork and driver compliance documentation.
• Conduct driver debriefs at the end of shifts and manage day-to-day fleet administration.

What we're looking for

• Proven operational experience within a road transport or logistics environment.
• Hands-on working knowledge of TMS and WMS platforms.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage changing operational priorities.
• Confident communication skills across both phone and email.
• Practical problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.

The Package

• £40,000 per annum
