Import Operations Coordinator

About the Role

🚢 As an Import Operations Coordinator, you’ll manage the end-to-end coordination of import shipments (FCL, LCL and/or airfreight), ensuring smooth, compliant, and on-time movement for key clients.

• You’ll keep data accurate across bespoke systems and internal platforms, using strong Excel skills to support reporting and operational visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and manage import bookings for FCL, LCL, and/or airfreight consignments with a range of carriers.
• Coordinate with customers, shippers, and overseas agents to ensure smooth movement of goods from origin to destination.
• Enter shipment data promptly and accurately into bespoke client systems and internal platforms.
• Maintain close communication with clients, carriers, hauliers, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain high service standards.
• Utilise Microsoft Excel for data processing, reporting, and record-keeping.
• Proactively identify and address potential delays, documentation issues, or operational risks.
• Support the wider operations/key accounts team in delivering outstanding customer service

About You

• Experience in import operations (FCL, LCL and/or airfreight) within shipping or logistics is essential.
• Strong data entry, processing, and Microsoft Excel skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to high standards.
