HGV Class 1 Driver - Plant Hire

Location: Beccles Depot
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £42,000 - £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to manage plant hire deliveries and collections from their Beccles base. This permanent role suits a confident flatbed driver looking for steady day shifts, competitive overtime rates, and no nights away from home.

What you'll be doing

• Drive an HGV Class 1 flatbed vehicle to deliver and collect equipment across various customer sites.
• Load and securely strap plant machinery onto the flatbed trailer safely.
• Unload plant machinery carefully upon arrival at client locations.
• Collect returned plant equipment from site locations and transport it back to the base.
• Safely unload and park returned machinery within the yard.

What we're looking for

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence.
• Proven experience driving flatbed HGV vehicles.
• Practical experience loading, securing, and unloading plant machinery (Desirable).
• Strong awareness of transport safety and load security.

The Package

• £42,000 - £45,000 per annum
• Time and a half paid overtime
• 23 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
• 3% employer pension contribution
• No weekend work and no nights out
