HGV Class 1 Day Driver

Join an established logistics team in Ipswich delivering nationwide freight on steady Monday to Friday day shifts.

Location: Ipswich
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts (up to 55 hours per week / 11 hours per day)

The Opportunity

This role suits an experienced Class 1 driver looking for reliable weekday work and excellent earning potential. You will operate well-maintained vehicles on nationwide day routes with no routine nights out required. What you'll be doing

• Deliver palletised and general freight safely to customer sites across the country.
• Carry out thorough pre-use and post-trip vehicle inspections every day.
• Liaise directly with the transport office regarding schedule updates and delivery timings.
• Complete all transport paperwork, delivery notes, and digital tachograph records accurately.
• Ensure all loads are correctly restrained and fully compliant with safety regulations.

What we're looking for

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Current Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Proven commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Strong understanding of load security, tacho rules, and road safety regulations.
• ADR certification or Megalift experience is advantageous.

The Package

• £45,000 - £50,000 per annum (£14.50 basic, £17.50 overtime).
• £10.00 tax-free daily meal allowance.
