HGV Class 1 Day Driver

Salary; £40,000 PA

Hours: 08:00 – 17:30

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for a stable, day-based role with no nights out? LME Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading company in Basildon to find a professional and reliable driver to join their team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collecting and delivering HGV Class 1 vehicles and trailers locally (no nights out)
• Shunting vehicles and trailers in the yard using a tug vehicle
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and safe at all times
• Valeting and maintaining the cleanliness of trucks and trailers
• Liaising with customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Carrying out basic vehicle checks and reporting any defects

About You

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
