Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

The Opportunity

Our client, a major container haulage and warehousing specialist, is looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to lead their transport operations. You will take charge of vehicle compliance, maintenance schedules, and driver management across a dynamic fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated transport professional looking to make a substantial impact in a senior role.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee daily operations and workload planning across a mixed fleet of HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Maintain compliance with UK transport legislation, driver hours rules, and health and safety standards.
• Manage vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules, MOTs, and defect rectifications.
• Lead, support, and develop driving staff and operational team members.
• Track operational costs, utilisation, and fleet KPIs using modern telematics and management software.
• Act as the primary contact for breakdowns, incident management, and operational escalations.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated background in managing commercial or HGV vehicle fleets.
• Comprehensive understanding of UK transport compliance and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with fleet management software and telematics systems.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Transport Manager CPC qualification is preferred but not essential.

The Package

• £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
