Senior Freight Forwarder

Step into a senior freight forwarding role with an established logistics team in Felixstowe.

Location: Felixstowe
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: Standard office hours (e.g. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday)

The Opportunity

Take full operational ownership of complex multimodal import and export movements from booking through to delivery. Working in a modern office environment, you will act as a key point of contact for major accounts and mentor junior team members across the desk. This is a great move for an experienced forwarder looking for autonomy and progression.

What you'll be doing

• Manage end-to-end multimodal import and export shipments across global trade routes.
• Build strong relationships with shipping lines, hauliers, and key clients.
• Complete accurate customs declarations, shipping documentation, and compliance paperwork.
• Track consignments proactively, resolve transit exceptions, and keep customers fully updated.
• Mentor junior team members and provide operational guidance across the forwarding desk.

What we're looking for

• Proven freight forwarding experience handling ocean, road, or air freight.
• Solid working knowledge of UK customs clearance procedures and international trade documentation.
• Proficiency using freight management systems and shipping software.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to guide and support junior colleagues.
