The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a skilled Customs Clearance Clerk to join their busy freight forwarding operation in Felixstowe. This on-site role suits an experienced professional who takes pride in managing compliant, accurate customs declarations. You will play a vital part in keeping international freight moving efficiently.
What you'll be doing
- Process import and export customs declarations accurately and on time.
- Ensure all entries comply with current UK customs regulations and HMRC requirements.
- Liaise directly with operational teams, customers, and port authorities.
- Resolve clearance delays and queries swiftly to minimise hold-ups.
What we're looking for
- Proven track record in customs clearance within the freight forwarding sector.
- Solid understanding of import and export procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
- Good communication skills and a reliable, proactive approach.
The Package
- £30,000 – £35,000 per annum.
- 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
