The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a proactive Customer Service Representative to join their operational team in Felixstowe on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role is ideal if you have a strong administrative or customer service background and want to build a career in the shipping and transport sector. You will be the direct link between commercial clients and day-to-day operations.

What you'll be doing

• Handle incoming telephone and email enquiries from customers and commercial partners.
• Process transport bookings and update cargo details across operational systems.
• Track shipments through transit and provide accurate status updates to clients.
• Maintain detailed administrative records and generate necessary shipping paperwork.
• Resolve day-to-day customer queries efficiently to minimise operational delays.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn internal software quickly.
• A methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
• An interest in shipping, transport, or supply chain logistics.
