This is your chance to play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods, supporting critical warehouse and port operations.

Responsibilities

As a Crane Driver, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating cranes to load, unload, and move cargo.
  • Securing loads and adhering to safety standards.
  • Conducting daily equipment checks and reporting any faults.
  • Collaborating with ground staff, supervisors, and logistics teams.
  • Following all site safety protocols and contributing to a safe work environment.
  • Completing relevant paperwork and maintaining accurate records of loads.
  • Assisting with additional warehouse or yard duties as required.

**Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven experience in operating cranes.
  • A valid crane operator licence (CPCS, NPORS, or equivalent).
  • A clean driving licence.
  • Experience as a material handler, forklift operator, or multi-drop driver is advantageous.
  • A strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

**Day-to-Day**

Your typical day will involve:

  • Operating cranes to handle cargo efficiently and safely.
  • Ensuring all loads are secure and meet safety standards.
  • Performing routine checks on equipment and promptly reporting any issues.
  • Working closely with the logistics team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of all cargo movements.
  • Supporting other warehouse or yard tasks as needed.
