Crane Driver

Operate heavy lifting equipment and support busy cargo operations with a leading team in Ipswich.

Location: Ipswich
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (overtime as required)

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an experienced Crane Driver to join their expanding port and warehouse operations in Ipswich. You will play a vital role in ensuring goods are moved, loaded, and unloaded safely and efficiently across the site. This is a great opportunity for a qualified operator looking for a stable, permanent role with competitive pay.

What you'll be doing

• Operate cranes to lift, move, and position cargo safely across the site.
• Conduct daily equipment pre-checks and report any defects immediately.
• Secure all loads in strict accordance with site health and safety standards.
• Liaise closely with ground crews, supervisors, and logistics personnel.
• Complete operational documentation and maintain accurate lifting logs.
• Support general yard and warehouse operations when required.

What we're looking for

• Valid CPCS, NPORS, or recognised equivalent crane operator qualification.
• Proven experience operating cranes within a port, yard, or industrial setting.
• Valid clean UK driving licence.
• Solid working knowledge of load security and site safety procedures.
• GCSEs or equivalent educational qualifications.
