The Opportunity

What you'll be doing

• Oversee all compliance functions across logistics, freight forwarding, and shipping operations.
• Develop and maintain company policies and operating procedures in line with current statutory legislation.
• Ensure adherence to HMRC rules, customs processes, transport legislation, and health and safety standards.
• Plan and execute regular internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance investigations.
• Act as the primary contact for regulatory bodies, external auditors, and senior management reporting.

What we're looking for

• Proven compliance management experience within logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding.
• In-depth knowledge of HMRC regulations, customs procedures, transport law, and health and safety standards.
• Track record of conducting audits, risk assessments, and formal compliance investigations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at senior management level.
• Proficiency with compliance management systems and standard office software.
