Compliance Manager

What You’ll Be Doing

• Overseeing all aspects of compliance for logistics and shipping operations
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining company policies and procedures in line with industry regulations
• Ensuring full compliance with HMRC, customs, health & safety, and transport legislation
• Conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and investigations
• Delivering training and guidance to staff on compliance requirements and best practices
• Managing documentation, certifications, and compliance records
• Acting as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and external audits
• Reporting on compliance status, incidents, and improvements to senior management

About You

• Previous experience in compliance management within logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding (essential)
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and industry regulations (HMRC, customs, health & safety, transport, etc.)
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
• Confident with compliance management systems and MS Office
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Team player with a solutions-focused, can-do attitude

Desirable

• Relevant compliance, audit, or risk management certifications
• Experience working with both SME and blue-chip logistics clients
