🚚 Role: Transport Operator

📍 Location:  Ipswich, Suffolk 

🕗 Monday - Friday: 08:00 – 17:00

👇 About the Role…

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Operator to support day-to-day transport operations and manage up to 30 trucks, ensuring deliveries run safely, compliantly, and on time.

🚛 Brief drivers and monitor live jobs/ETAs

🗺️ Coordinate daily vehicle movements (up to 30 trucks)

💻 Maintain accurate TMS/WMS/POD updates

📞 Liaise with customers, depots, and internal teams

📝 Prepare and manage transport paperwork/records

✅ Support driver debriefs and fleet admin

⚠️ Manage delays/issues and keep customers informed

🛡️ Support compliance and best practice (hours, checks, docs)

🚚 Transport/logistics experience

🗓️ Strong organisation & time management

⏱️ Works well under pressure & to deadlines

💬 Great communication & people skills

💻 Confident with TMS/WMS & transport IT systems

🧠 Proactive, strong problem-solver

🎓 Transport Manager qualification (or working towards)
