Are you an experienced maintenance professional ready to step up and make a real impact? We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Maintenance Controller to take charge of defect triage, tyre management, repair authorisations, and supplier coordination. If you’re passionate about keeping vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road—this could be your perfect next move.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Triage defects reported by drivers or telematics, authorising repairs within set limits
- Coordinate with workshops, mobile mechanics, and tyre partners to minimise vehicle downtime (VOR)
- Oversee tyre inspections, repairs, rotations, replacements, and casing returns
- Track PMIs, MOT preparation, service schedules, and compliance documentation
- Control costs, challenge quotes, and make the most of warranties and recalls
- Maintain accurate records and keep all stakeholders updated on ETAs and job status
About You:
- Experience in maintenance control, workshop control, service advising, or fleet administration
- Strong tyre knowledge and sound mechanical understanding (brakes, suspension, steering, electrics)
- Excellent supplier management, negotiation, and communication skills (Drivers, Depots, Technicians, Customers)
- Confident using fleet maintenance/telematics systems and MS Office or Google Suite
- Able to work independently, stay proactive, and remain accountable without direct supervision
