The role We’re recruiting an experienced Freight Forwarder to

join a busy and growing operations team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage

shipments from start to finish, coordinating import and export movements across sea, air and road.

You’ll ensure every consignment is handled efficiently, compliantly and on schedule, while providing a consistently strong service to customers.

 

 

Key responsibilities Manage end-to-end freight forwarding operations for

import and export shipments (sea, air and road). Coordinate FTL, LTL, groupage and intermodal

movements to and from the EU. Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, overseas agents

and other suppliers. Prepare, check and process shipping documentation

(e.g., bills of lading, customs entries and related paperwork).

Track and monitor shipments, proactively resolving delays or issues as they arise.

Provide regular, clear updates to customers and act as the main point of contact.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal procedures at all times.

Maintain accurate records and ensure job files are complete and audit-ready.

Support the wider operations team when required. Quote and negotiate freight rates with suppliers and

customers. Identify opportunities to improve processes and

support ongoing business growth.

 

 

About you Proven experience in freight forwarding (import/export;

multimodal experience preferred). Strong understanding of customs processes and

shipping documentation. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Able to prioritise and manage multiple shipments in a

fast-paced environment. Customer-focused, proactive and solutions-driven. Confident IT user (experience with forwarding/freight

systems is an advantage).
