So what does the role look like?
- ๐ Managing customs clearance processes for foodstuffs, ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation
- ๐ Reviewing and preparing all necessary documentation for imports and exports
- ๐ฃ๏ธ Communicating with clients, suppliers, and government authorities to resolve customs clearance queries
- ๐ Staying updated on industry regulations, tariff changes, and customs policies affecting food shipments
- ๐ค Collaborating with the warehouse team to manage timely release of goods
- ๐ Providing exceptional customer service throughout the clearance process to strengthen client relationships
- ๐ป Utilising customs software and systems to efficiently track shipments and documentation
So do you have what it takes?
- โ Minimum 2 yearsโ experience in customs clearance, specifically for foodstuffs
- ๐ In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and procedures for food products
- ๐ป Strong IT skills, with proficiency in customs software and Microsoft Office Suite
- ๐ง Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- ๐ฌ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with clients and authorities
- โก Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
