So what does the role look like?

Processing and payment of invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintenance of the purchase ledger.
Reconciliation of supplier statements.
Liaising with suppliers and resolving any invoice discrepancies.
Assisting with month-end closures and reporting.
Ensuring compliance with company policies and external regulations.

So do you have what it takes?

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger role or similar within the Shipping or Logistics industry A minimum of 2 years experience in finance or accounting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in IT and accounting software.
Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with individuals across various levels.
