So what does the role look like?
- π Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment
- π οΈ Diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of machinery, both on-site and in the workshop
- π Carry out scheduled servicing and repairs to ensure compliance with industry standards
- π Assist with preparing equipment for hire and inspecting it upon return
- ποΈ Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed
- π€ Support the logistics team with equipment deliveries and pick-ups as needed
- π· Work closely with colleagues to uphold high standards of safety and efficiency
Do you have what it takes?
- β Relevant experience as a Plant Fitter or in a similar maintenance role (plant hire, construction, or heavy machinery industry preferred)
- ποΈ At least 3 yearsβ hands-on experience with equipment such as excavators, diggers, and site machinery
- βοΈ Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- π» Confident IT skills, including use of maintenance management systems
- π§ Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail
- π£οΈ Great communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork and client liaison
- π Full driving licence is essential; CPCS/NPORS qualifications are a bonus!
