So what does the role look like?
- π’ Handling and managing all aspects of import freight forwarding operations
- π Coordinating with overseas agents, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely, efficient cargo movement
- π Processing and managing shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, import declarations, customs paperwork)
- π€ Providing excellent customer serviceβaddressing client queries and resolving issues promptly
- π Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- π» Maintaining and updating internal databases and tracking systems
- π¬ Negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers to achieve the best possible terms
Do you have what it takes?
- β Minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in import freight forwarding
- π Comprehensive knowledge of shipping and logistics procedures
- π» Proficiency in IT applications relevant to the role, including MS Office
- ποΈ Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- π£οΈ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- π§ Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation
- π€ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
