🚛 Overseeing day-to-day management of a diverse HGV and commercial vehicle fleet
🗂️ Ensuring compliance with all transport legislation, including driver hours and vehicle maintenance
📅 Planning and optimising vehicle schedules, routes, and workloads for maximum efficiency
🔧 Managing maintenance, servicing, MOTs, and defect reporting to keep the fleet roadworthy
👥 Leading and developing a team of drivers and support staff
💻 Using fleet management systems to monitor performance, costs, and KPIs
🤝 Acting as the main point of contact for operational issues, breakdowns, and incident management
📊 Producing regular reports on fleet utilisation, costs, and compliance

 

 

🌟 Previous experience managing HGV or commercial vehicle fleets (essential)
📝 Strong knowledge of transport compliance, fleet legislation, and health & safety requirements
💬 Excellent organisational and communication skills

🚚 CPC qualification or similar transport management certification
