As a Plant Fitter, you will play a vital role in ensuring the equipment is well-maintained and ready for hire, supporting the company’s ongoing success.
So what does the role look like?
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and repair faults in various types of machinery on-site and in the workshop.
Perform scheduled servicing and repairs to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Assist in the preparation of equipment prior to hire and following return from hire.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all work performed.
Support the Logistics Team with equipment delivery and pick-up when needed.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high standard of safety and efficiency.
So do you have what it takes?
Relevant experience as a Plant Fitter or in a similar maintenance role, preferably within the plant hire, construction, or heavy machinery industry.
Proven track record with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with equipment such as excavators, diggers, and site machinery.
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
IT skills including competent use of maintenance management systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with team members and clients.
Full driving licence is essential; CPCS/NPORS qualifications are desirable.
