So what does the role look like?
” Handling and managing all aspects of import freight forwarding operations.
” Coordinating with overseas agents, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely and efficient cargo movement.
” Processing and managing shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, import declarations, and customs paperwork.
” Providing excellent customer service, addressing client queries and resolving any issues promptly.
” Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
” Maintaining and updating internal databases and tracking systems.
” Negotiate rates with carriers and suppliers to achieve the best possible terms.
So do you have what it takes?
” Minimum of 2 years’ experience in import freight forwarding.
” Comprehensive knowledge of shipping and logistics procedures.
” Proficiency in IT applications relevant to the role, including MS Office.
” Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
” Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
” Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.
” Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
