So what does the role look like?
Oversee and manage all ocean export processes, ensuring compliance with international regulations and customer requirements.
Coordinate with various stakeholders including shipping lines, customs brokers, and clients to facilitate smooth and timely ocean exports.
Develop and implement efficient export strategies to enhance service delivery and optimise operational performance.
Monitor and manage export documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the export process, providing exceptional customer service and support.
Identify challenges within the export process and provide proactive solutions to mitigate risks and enhance service levels.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to improve operational efficiencies.
Train and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the team.
So do you have what it takes?
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ocean exports, preferably within a logistics or freight forwarding environment.
Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, documentation procedures, and customs clearance processes.
Proficient in relevant IT systems and software, including freight management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enhancing relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs with a positive attitude.

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000, alongside additional benefits including annual leave, performance bonuses, and professional development opportunities.
